It's an age-old problem. Trespasser deaths on railroad tracks. And it's disappointing that Brightline is being singled out for criticism.
According to the FRA, an average of 458 people die trespassing along railroad tracks each year.
What's needed is a larger public awareness campaign which will gain the public's attention so that these incidents will stop across the nation, not just in Florida.
