Tampa Newspaper Columnist Calls for Return of Full Sunset Limited, Better Florida Service

From the Tampa Tribune comes this column from Steve Otto, a longtime writer for that newspaper who is also an Amtrak passenger:

One fun fact about Steve Otto is that he is a boyhood friend of our very own George Bollinger, an FCRP member from the Jacksonville area. They met while both were in high school and worked bagging groceries at a Tampa A&P Supermarket.

George even makes it into some of Steve Otto's columns from time to time.

WE need to get the message through to restore service between New Orleans and Jacksonville on a DAILY basis by adding a simple Jacksonville extension to the City of New Orleans. Amtrak could easily turn the train around for a same day return at jacksonville during the day. Use water spigots on the platform to hose down and clean the train for its departure in the evening.
