Tallahassee, Saturday, May 23, 2012: Well over a hundred people turned out to show their support for the return of the now-suspended Sunset Limited between New Orleans, Mobile, Tallahassee and Jacksonville. Officials from as far away as Mobile also came to show support as well, including Bob Stewart, Chairman of the National Association of Railroad Passengers, Steve Sayles of FCRP, the head of the Mobile-New Orleans high speed rail commission and several other elected officials.

There was also media coverage, live bands and a fundraiser concert that evening. The next step is a meeting planned for August 16 between the mayors of all the enroute cities. FCRP and NARP will attend. More followup will include more outreach to on line communities and the sizeable student population in Tallahassee. (Media coverage - see links below)
