Could have sworn I left a comment here the other day. Did someone not like it and remove it? Sorry if I offended.

      Do you believe in Gremlins?

Unfortunately, the comments section of our website has been a little haywire over the past few weeks. Spammers were hard at work posting advertisements in our comments section.

Ads for women's dresses and Rolex watches were predominant, incidentally.

I tightened our spam controls, but also dumped a bunch of comments from the spammers en masse. Some real comments went away, too-- and I bet yours was one of them.

At any rate, all's well with our website now and the Gremlins are gone. Comments should work fine from now on.

So keep them coming, Mike and other loyal Blog readers!

      Sincerely,
      Jackson

If the subject material is irrelevnat to what our forum is intended for, best to keep it short and leave your detailed reasons out. We're all in favor of better rail service in Florida, although we may have some objections between ourselves as to how to solve the problems and get things done, like high-speed rail, shall we improve Amtrak, rely on privatization, or try another form of technology like mag-lev? That's what this forum should be for. Using this forum to sell non-related material, as Jackson correctly points out, need not be posted here.

Steve, I think our visiting spammer was a spambot, not a person. I hope so, anyway. Otherwise, someone sure has a lot of dresses and watches to sell.

Jackson, my comment was pretty straightforward. Just wanted to say that I was at NTD in Tampa, but arrived on #91 so missed the am festivities. Saw (I think) the NARP/FCRP table, but it was unmanned at the time and I guess I never went back to say hello.

Sorry to miss you, Mike! Steve Sayles and I didn't man the FCRP and NARP table for long since we were focused on running the event. Still, we managed to pick up some new members. NARP Chairman Bob Stewart served as our emcee for the 11 AM program, so we managed to get in some "flag-waiving" for passenger rail!

#91 was on time that day, but speeches by Mr. Stuart and Mr. Sayles were already made and the speaking sessions were just ending on the historical contributions made by local African-americans just before Busted Blues took the stage to do their first gig of the day, both of which I enjoyed very much, and found very educational, too.
