I believe we can forget any further rail activity in Florida except for SunRail. The TeaParty is in charge at the moment and I, for one, hope they drown in their tea. The loss of the Sunset East of NewOrleans because of the wishes of one poliltician has soured me on any kind of transportation advocacy.

Jerry, I too have no use for the Tea Party, and you're probably right about who's in charge right now. The rest of your comment regarding the Sunset east of NOLA "because of the wishes of one poliltician (sic)" leaves me baffled. Isn't the loss of this service more cmplex than that, and isn't Amtrak itself partly culpable? I don't even know which politician you're referring to. Bush? Scott? Mica?
