FCRP and NASA's George Diller Featured In Launch Coverage

08 Jul 2011 10:11 AM | Jackson McQuigg (Administrator)

From the St. Petersburg Times comes this piece profiling the Coalition's Treasurer, George Diller.

George is a NASA Public Affairs veteran who has been the voice of numerous Space Shuttle launches and other NASA events for 30+ years.

As we commemorate the final launch of the shuttle program with the launch of Atlantis today, it's also fitting to honor one of our own.

Good job, George!

I enjoyed reading this article. George ought to connect with my father, Walter Crosmer, who helped design the propulsion systems for Apollo 11's LM.

As the space shuttle program ends, this puts a damper on efforts to restore rail along the Atlantic Coast of Florida. a major source of drawing tourists has come to a close, and nobody knows how long the hiatus will last until we send man into space again.

Which will return first to the space coast? Manned space flights or the passenger trains? Interesting question.
