Rail safety--always an important topic--should get renewed scrutiny in the wake of last night's Northeast Corridor crash.
Unfortunately, some of these vital and important conversations about safety are already devolving into political "bar fights". After all, there are political points to be scored.
One hopes that the focus will instead return to the victims of this sad tragedy and how similar needless crashes can be prevented in the future.
