The biggest issue with adding additional stops to the route is the starts/stops. This was the major stumbling block with the FOXX and FL High-speed rail program. Every city in FL along the route whats a station access. Treasure Coast was instrumental in the planning for the AMTRAK/FEC Flagler Heritage Trail route. Jacksonville over the FEC trackage to Miami. Now that FEC All Aboard Florida (private sector) is picking up the tab to provide the former (Florida state constitutional proposals) higher speed route of Miami to Orlando (Tampa on the FL west and Jacksonville on the North to connect with the National Southeast High Speed network) everyone wants to "Jump on Board". Need to revisit the previous alternatives and have the various cities involved step up to the plate and provide the funds for stations and station stops.
