Promoting passenger trains as a transportation alternative in Florida since 1983. We are citizens who advocate for Amtrak, commuter rail, intercity rail and transit for Florida's future.
It's hardly a replacement for the "suspended" (since 2005) route of the Sunset Limited from New Orleans to Florida, but Amtrak has added a Thruway bus from Mobile to New Orleans.
Of course Florida and Atmore, Alabama have been left out from even this service, however.
