Recently, The Daily Beast ran anti-Amtrak article which cited highly biased sources.

We're wondering if the editors of The Daily Beast realized that the libertarian Robert Poole of the Reason Foundation and Randall O' Toole of The Cato Institute have been attacking Amtrak with these same arguments for the past 30 years?

    It's the same old garbage I heard from these same persons while I was working on the California Propositions in the late 1980's. They said nobody would ride the trains. Look at California now!

    These same people mentioned above think building more toll roads is the answer and just about every privatized toll road project has been a bust from the get-go. Maybe that is why Orange County in California is broke.
