Although the amenities inside are far more important than the look of the train's exterior, I'm glad that Amtrak is dressing the new cars in its popular tri-color band and bringing back its pointless arrow, in a less intrusive format. The current blue color scheme on the locomotives fades too fast into a greenish blue and that clam shell logo resembling three sheets in the wind is too bland and very ugly. Most of all, I'm hoping for a return of split operations of the Silver service trains to run separately south of Jacksonville or Orlando to both Tampa and Miami.
