How Does This Fit Into the Scheme of Things?

I would think the rumor of 50 freight trains a day passing through Ocala is now dead, as is any chance of ever seeing a passenger train coming down the "S" line down here.

Just think how I felt when we lost passenger train service to Pinellas County in 1984. Same thing. I believe passenger rail will eventually restored between St. Petersburg and Clearwater on that same Amtrak route, but the big question is when? As for Ocala, I have my doubts on Amtrak returning, but my best guess is for a commuter route to Tampa or Orlando, but don't hold your breath for it!
