Why is it taking so long to deliver any news about rail locally here in Florida on this website? It's old news by the time it is posted here and the other rail websites have lots of chatter about it. Even California organizations have beaten us to the punch in our own state. RailPAC keeps me well informed!

Thank you, Steve Crosmer, for your message. I will respond to your message since I do the many of the blog postings on The Silver Rail Blog.

Speaking for myself, like everyone else involved in FCRP, I am a volunteer. I enjoy posting on our blog and keeping the news as fresh as possible, when my schedule (which includes a busy career and other volunteer, as well as family commitments) allow.

If others would like to volunteer to do blog posts, I am sure Steve Sayles, FCRP's President, would welcome the help. He and the other officers of the organization can be reached at

Incidentally, I  will continue to post as much I can, as I am sure others will, too.

In any case, we've come a long way since the days of the quarterly newsletter as our only means of communication with one another!
